At last count, with stands filling up fast, there were 56 companies exhibiting at Giving & Living for the first time in January 2015, alongside around 200 of our regular exhibitors! We all like to see new things, and with candles, textiles, glass, soap, gifts, and so much more, you’ll be spoilt for choice! Here’s just five of them, to give you a little taster. You’ll have to come to the show to see the rest!
Margaret Johnson Design
Margaret obtained a BA Hons in Fine Art & Sculpture at Goldsmith’s College, part of London University, and a post graduate course at Exeter University followed. After a long period in teaching in both schools and adult education she decided to develop her own ideas, initially painting in watercolours. Over recent years she has explored the use of colour, texture & form with the translucency of glass with an unusual technique involving the use of straw silk fibre. Her current work involves using her combined techniques to produce tables, glass panels & art on canvas for the home. Each item is unique. (Stand B464).
Sapooni
Sapooni manufacture a range of natural, quality soaps, skincare, candles and wax melts – all handmade with care, using traditional methods, in their idyllic workshop. Cornish-sourced ingredients and Cornish-inspired scents are unique features of their gorgeous products. Sapooni is a family-run business, where traditional values are central to their ethos. Little Trove
Little Trove specialises in design-focussed ethically produced fair trade home accessories and bags. Their products range from enamelware, wooden tableware, cushions, frames and candles to garden and general home decorations. Little Trove is a small family company providing a great personal service. BAFTS supplier member. New products like bags and jewellery to be launched at the show! (Stand B205).
Holy Mackerel
Holy Mackerel specialises in providing original cards for all occasions. Since their inception in 2002, Holy Mackerel’s greetings card ranges has grown to include exquisite designer cards, remarkable contemporary cards, cutting-edge photographic cards, humorous cards and 3D cards; and they’ve now launched funky ranges of fridge magnets and coasters to complement their award-winning card ranges. MollyMac create beautiful designs with your area in mind. They are delighted to be at the show for the first time, showcasing their unique range of gifts and souvenirs, that will appeal to locals and tourists alike. Their range includes table runners & napkins. shoppers, mirrors & magnets and greeting cards. (Stand B311).
